A refined take on the izakaya, Sosharu delivers beautifully crafted small plates dedicated to different Japanese specialities: Sashimi, tempura, hibachi grill and more.

7 cocktails inspired by the Japanese tradition of wabi-sabi-the art of finding beauty in imperfection and impermanence – and over 50 varieties of sake to discover.


Led by the turning British seasons and working closely with producers to deliver the freshest ingredients, allowing you to explore the natural landscape in each dish.

Alex Craciun
Executive head chef Alex Craciun, has travelled and works extensively in Japan to hone his craft, bringing a skilled team of chefs, bartenders and front of house experts together.


Jason & Irha Atherton
Since opening Pollen Street Social in 2011, Jason and Irha have opened 16 restaurants all over the world. Jason and Irha work closely with Alex to support the day-to-day operation of Sosharu.

Bar - 7 Tales

Cocktail bar 7 Tales captures the buzz and debauchery of Tokyo after dark: neon lights, hip-hop beats and vending machines ... Descend the stairs from Sosharu and take a seat.

Drinks are innovative in flavour and deceptively simple on the eye. Turnmills Rice Wine mixes rice-washed gin with Cocchi Americano and sesame, while Travellin’ Man combines aged sake, mosto verde pisto and black salt.

London Fashion Week Menu

Heading to London Fashion Week this year, why not break up the shows with a beautiful lunch at Sosharu? Available from the 16th until 23rd February, the fashion week lunch menu offers six courses for £40 & features some of the restaurants signature Japanese dishes, such as Grilled & Raw Salmon Temaki, Sushi rice, Spiced Cabbage and Tosazu Jelly and Devon Crab with Bitter Leaves, Pickled Wakame, Blood Orange, Salted Combu and Shiro Miso Dressing.

Brand New Menu Launching Soon

Keep an eye out for our brand new menu launching on Wednesday 21st February!
The all-day offering will be available Mondays to Saturdays from noon, and will be divided into seven different sections; Raw, Chilled, Warm, Tempura, Inspired by the Classics, Vegetarian and Wood Fire Grilled with highlights including; Blood orange-cured Scottish salmon, toasted sesame, crispy buckwheat, marinated ikura; Soft shell crab tempura, sushi rice, spiced tomato, avocado, wasabi; and Sukiyaki wagyu beef, glass noodles, Japanese cabbage, shiitake.

Jason Atherton and The Social Company are delighted to announce that flagship restaurant Pollen Street Social has been awarded five AA rosettes and Sosharu has been named London Restaurant of the Year at the AA Hospitality Awards.
